circa 1890, with octagonal 28in. blued barrel, the left-flat signed 'J. STEVENS & CO. CHICOPEE FALLS, MASS, PAT SEPT 6 1884', dove-tailed crescent blade fore-sight, ebony blanking plate to the rear-sight dove-tail, nickel-plated radiused central hammer action, the top-tang fitted with a 'Lyman' style column peep-sight, walnut butt with plated crescent heel-plate, no provision for fore-end, strong amount of original finish throughout
